Merry Christmas! (If you can survive it!)

I've sent Devin out to procure the necessary equipment for the truck to prepare it for driving up the mountain. They were supposed to get snow last night and either rain or snow again today. So he's out getting the oil changed, sand bags to weigh down the back, and chains for the tires.

In the meantime we're anxiously (well I'm anxious anyway) awaiting the delivery of a mystery gift my mom sent UPS. We didn't get the other package we were expecting yesterday until 9:00 p.m. last night. I really didn't want to wait that long to leave for the mountains tonight. It's a dillema. Whatever the package contains holds some treasure my mom bequested my sister with purchasing the day after Thanksgiving. Which, when speaking of it, my mother sounded rather excited when telling me about it; and then disappointed when we spoke last night that it might not arrive before we were to leave for the mountains. (There's a nice long runon senctence for you Mr. Slusser. I'm too distraught to care to correct it righ now. Sorry.) So, I really really want my mommy's gift and I really really want to wake up in the moutains tomorrow morning. I'm just not sure if I can have both.

It did harm me, but it's the holidays, so I won't complain.

And if it's any comfort, they haven't gotten anything up there yet today. It's supposed to come but hasn't made its appearance yet.
